충남 서산시가 취약계층 보호와 복지 사각지대 해소를 통해 시민이 체감할 수 있는 복지도시 조성에 속도를 내고 있다.
서산시는 올해 ‘걱정 없는 복지도시’ 실현을 목표로 맞춤형 복지 정책을 집중 추진하며, 생활이 어려운 시민을 위한 촘촘한 복지안전망 구축에 행정력을 기울였다.
서산시에 따르면 경제적 위기 가정 1367건에 긴급복지 서비스를 제공하고, 의료급여 수급자 3681명에게 건강보험료와 진료비를 지원하는 등 기초생활 안정 지원을 강화했다.
특히 통신사와 연계한 ‘밤새 안녕 안심서비스’를 운영해 대상자의 전화 수·발신 기록을 모니터링하고, 위험 상황 시 읍·면·동 직원이 즉시 현장 확인에 나서는 체계를 마련했다. 현재 830명이 해당 서비스에 참여하고 있으며, 올해 약 1만 건의 안부 확인이 이뤄졌다.
