[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산광역시의회 인사청문특별위원회(위원장 박종철)는 15일 부산신용보증재단 이사장 후보자에 대한 인사청문회를 연다.
시의회 2층 대회의실에서 진행되는 이번 청문회는 제9대 시의회 후반기 인사청문특별위원회 출범 이후 여섯 번째로 열리는 자리로, 후보자가 지역 소상공인과 중소기업의 금융안전망 역할을 수행할 적임자인지를 검증한다.
부산신용보증재단은 담보력이 부족한 소상공인과 중소기업에 신용보증을 제공하는 지역 핵심 공공금융기관이다. 최근 고금리와 물가상승 등 어려운 경제 여건 속에서 민생경제 회복과 자영업자 경영 안정 지원 역할이 한층 중요해지고 있다.
청문회에서는 후보자의 ▲소상공인·중소기업 금융지원 정책 이해도, ▲위기 대응 및 경영혁신 역량, ▲공공성과 책임성 강화 방안 등을 중심으로 다각적이고 심도 있는 검증이 진행된다.
이날 청문회에는 박종철(기장군1) 위원장을 비롯해 박진수(비례) 부위원장, 김창석(사상구2), 김효정(북구2), 박철중(수영구1), 이복조(사하구4), 이준호(금정구2), 전원석(사하구2), 정채숙(비례), 정태숙(남구2) 의원 등 위원회 소속 의원과 부산시 관계 공무원들이 참석한다.
박종철 위원장은 “부산신용보증재단은 지역 소상공인의 희망을 지키고 중소기업의 재도약을 이끄는 중요한 기관”이라며 “후보자의 전문성과 도덕성, 공공기관장으로서의 책임의식을 면밀히 검증해 시민 눈높이에 맞는 인사가 이루어지도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The Busan Metropolitan Council’s Special Committee on Personnel Hearings, chaired by Park Jong-chul, will hold a confirmation hearing for the candidate for president of the Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation on December 15 at the council’s main conference hall on the second floor.
This will be the sixth confirmation hearing since the launch of the 9th council’s latter-term special committee in September last year. The session will serve as an important occasion to assess whether the nominee is qualified to lead the foundation, which plays a key role in supporting local small business owners and SMEs through financial safety nets.
The Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation serves as a vital public financial institution by providing credit guarantees to small business owners and SMEs with insufficient collateral. Amid high interest rates and inflation, its role in stabilizing small businesses and revitalizing the local economy has become increasingly important.
During the hearing, committee members are expected to conduct an in-depth review of the nominee’s understanding of financial support policies for SMEs and small business owners, capabilities in crisis management and institutional innovation, and plans to enhance the foundation’s public accountability and transparency.
Chair Park Jong-chul (Gijang 1) will lead the session, joined by Vice Chair Park Jin-soo (Proportional Representation) and members Kim Chang-seok (Sasang 2), Kim Hyo-jung (Buk-gu 2), Park Cheol-jung (Suyeong 1), Lee Bok-jo (Saha 4), Lee Jun-ho (Geumjeong 2), Jeon Won-seok (Saha 2), Jeong Chae-suk (Proportional Representation), and Jeong Tae-suk (Nam-gu 2), as well as officials from the city government.
Chair Park noted, “The Busan Credit Guarantee Foundation is an essential institution that protects the hopes of local small business owners and supports the resurgence of SMEs. We will thoroughly examine the nominee’s professionalism, integrity, and sense of responsibility as the head of a public institution to ensure an appointment that meets citizens’ expectations.”
