포항제철소, 7000포기 ‘사랑의 김장 김치’ 나눔 행사 성공적으로 마쳐

포항제철소는 이날 학산종합복지관을 중심으로 포항 지역 무료급식소 21개소에 김장 김치를 전달하며 이웃 사랑을 실천했다.

7,000포기의 김장 김치를 전하는 이번 사업은, 포스코 임직원들이 조성한 '1% 나눔 기금'으로 재원을 마련해 그 의미를 더했다. 지난 2009년부터 16년간 꾸준히 이어져 온 이 사업은 현재까지 누적 10억 원 상당의 김치를 지역 이웃들에게 전달하는 등 포스코의 대표적인 사회 공헌 활동으로 자리매김했다.

이번 김장 김치 전달식은 포항제철소 대외협력그룹을 비롯해 학산·창포 종합사회복지관, 북부장애인종합복지관 등 대표 유관 기관이 참석한 가운데 진행되었다.

행사에 참석한 복지관 관계자는 “매년 포스코가 이렇게 신경 써서 양질의 김치를 전달해주셔서 진심으로 감사하다”며, 이 김치가 급식소를 이용하는 어르신들과 이웃들께서 추운 겨울을 나는데 큰 도움이 될 것”이라고 고마움을 전했다.

행사를 담당한 포항제철소 관계자는 "오늘 전달해드리는 김장 김치가 어려운 이웃들의 식탁에 작은 보탬이 되기를 바란다"며, "포항제철소는 앞으로도 지역 사회와의 상생을 최우선 가치로 두고 지속적인 나눔 활동을 펼쳐 나가겠다"고 전했다.
