진천군 진천읍 소재 각계 단체, 연말 이웃 사랑 실천

  【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군 진천읍은 관내 종교계, 지역사회단체, 기업이 함께 연말을 맞아 어려운 이웃을 위한 나눔을 실천했다고 16일 밝혔다.

  이번 나눔은 △대한불교조계종 대흥사(주지 일오스님) △진천읍 새마을남녀지도자협의회(회장 전태영, 조효덕) △상산종합조경(대표 정범용)의 후원으로 마련됐다. 

  대한불교조계종 대흥사에서 라면 100박스를, 진천읍 새마을남녀지도자협의회에서 백미 1,050kg을, 상산종합조경에서 100만원의 후원금을 기탁했다.

  일오 스님은 “부처님의 자비와 보시의 가르침을 실천하는 마음으로 작년에 이어 올해도 작은 정성을 준비했다”며 “힘든 시기를 보내는 이웃들이 따뜻한 한 끼 식사로 위로와 용기를 얻으셨으면 좋겠다”고 말했다.

  전태영 회장은 “회원들의 정성을 모아 작은 도움이지만, 나눔을 이어갈 수 있어 뜻깊게 생각한다”며 “앞으로도 새마을운동의 이웃 사랑 정신을 바탕으로 지역의 어려운 이웃을 꾸준히 살피겠다”고 말했다.

  정범용 대표는 “지역사회에 작은 보탬이 되고자 후원금 기탁을 준비했다”며 “앞으로도 지역에서 얻은 이익을 다시 지역에 환원하는 등 다양한 사회공헌활동을 이어 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Daeheungsa Temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism donated 100 boxes of ramen, the Jincheon-eup Saemaul Men and Women Leaders' Council donated 1,050 kg of white rice, and Sangsan Landscaping donated 1 million won.

Venerable Il-o said, "With the heart to practice the Buddha's teachings of compassion and almsgiving, I prepared this small donation again this year, following last year's. I hope our neighbors going through difficult times will find comfort and courage through a warm meal."

Chairman Jeon Tae-young said, "It's meaningful that we can continue to share, even if it's only a small help, through the generosity of our members." He added, "We will continue to care for our neighbors in need in the region, rooted in the Saemaul Movement's spirit of love for neighbors."
