유한양행 임직원이 직접 참여한 봉사활동이 올해도 이어졌다. ‘원예 봉사단’과 ‘버들바게트 봉사단’이 2025년 한 해 동안의 활동을 모두 마무리했다.
두 봉사단은 지난 3월부터 지역 어르신과 아동을 대상으로 정서적·생활적 지원을 이어왔다. 단순한 기부가 아니라, 임직원이 직접 만들고 전달하는 방식의 봉사다. 유한양행은 이 과정을 통해 지역사회와의 관계를 일회성이 아닌 지속적인 연결로 만들고자 했다.
원예 봉사단은 독거노인의 정서 지원에 초점을 맞췄다. 플로리스트 강사와 함께 꽃꽂이와 화분 만들기, 리스 제작 등을 진행했고, 임직원들은 두 달에 한 번 점심시간을 활용해 봉사에 참여했다. 완성된 작품은 복지기관을 통해 생신을 맞은 어르신들에게 전달됐다. 올해 이렇게 전달된 꽃과 화분은 80여 명의 어르신에게 닿았다.
버들바게트 봉사단은 음식으로 마음을 전했다. 제과·제빵 전문 파티셰와 함께 건강한 빵과 간식을 직접 만들고, 이를 어르신과 지역 아동에게 나눴다. 반죽부터 굽기까지 전 과정에 임직원이 참여했고, 활동은 분기마다 퇴근 후 진행됐다. 올해 이 봉사를 통해 200명이 넘는 어르신과 아이들에게 간식이 전달됐다.
이 두 봉사단의 공통점은 ‘자발성’이다. 회사 주도의 일회성 행사 대신, 임직원이 시간을 내 직접 참여했고, 지역 전문가들과의 협업을 통해 봉사의 완성도를 높였다. 꽃과 빵이라는 매개를 통해 정서적 위로와 생활 속 도움을 동시에 전한 셈이다.
유한양행 관계자는 “임직원의 자발적인 참여와 지역 전문가의 협력이 더해져 봉사의 의미가 깊어졌다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회와 함께 호흡하는 사회공헌 활동을 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
Yuhan Corporation Concludes 2025 Volunteer Programs
Yuhan Corporation has successfully completed its 2025 activities led by two employee volunteer groups, the Gardening Volunteer Team and the Beodeul Baguette Volunteer Team.
From March this year, the two teams provided emotional and practical support to local seniors and children. Rather than one-time donations, the programs focused on hands-on participation by employees, strengthening ongoing connections with the community.
The Gardening Volunteer Team supports elderly individuals living alone by creating flower arrangements, potted plants, and wreaths in collaboration with professional florists. Employees participated every two months during lunch breaks, and the completed arrangements were delivered through partner welfare centers to seniors celebrating their birthdays. This year, more than 80 seniors received floral gifts.
The Beodeul Baguette Volunteer Team focused on food support for seniors and local children. Working with professional pastry chefs, employees took part in the entire baking process, from dough preparation to baking. The activities were held quarterly after work, and healthy baked goods were delivered to over 200 seniors and children throughout the year.
What sets these programs apart is voluntary employee participation and collaboration with local experts. By making and sharing flowers and food themselves, employees provided both emotional comfort and practical support.
A Yuhan Corporation official said, “These volunteer activities have become more meaningful through voluntary employee participation and collaboration with local professionals. We will continue to expand our social contribution efforts in close partnership with local communities.”
