AI가 산업과 경제 전반의 중심으로 떠오르면서, 정책금융기관의 역할도 다시 주목받고 있다. 신용보증기금이 학계와 산업계, 공공기관을 한자리에 모아 AI 시대에 맞는 정책금융의 방향을 논의했다.
신용보증기금은 12월 10일 서울 명동 포스트타워에서 한국정책학회와 함께 ‘새정부의 AI 정책과 정책금융기관의 역할’을 주제로 정책 포럼을 열었다. 포럼에는 학계와 기업, 연구기관 관계자 등 100여 명이 참석했다.
이번 행사는 AI 중심으로 빠르게 전환되는 정책 환경 속에서, 혁신 산업을 어떻게 금융으로 뒷받침할 것인지에 대한 공감대를 만들기 위해 마련됐다. 특히 기술 변화 속도가 빠른 AI·딥테크 분야에서 정책금융이 어떤 방식으로 개입해야 하는지가 주요 논점이었다.
첫 번째 세션에서는 장홍진 신용보증기금 AI혁신센터장이 신보의 AI·데이터 기반 전략을 소개했다. 정부의 ‘AI 3대 강국 도약’ 목표에 맞춰 딥테크 전용 보증체계 구축과 산업별 맞춤 지원 방향을 설명했다. 단순한 자금 공급을 넘어, 기술 특성을 반영한 보증 구조가 필요하다는 점을 강조했다.
이어 김태호 뤼튼테크놀로지스 이사는 AI를 활용해 기업이 성장한 사례를 공유하며, 실제 현장에서 필요한 AI 전환 전략과 단계별 접근 방안을 소개했다. 기술 기업 입장에서 정책금융이 어떤 부분에서 도움이 되는지도 함께 짚었다.
두 번째 세션에서는 박현석 신보 빅데이터부 부부장이 신용보증기금의 기업분석 시스템 BASA를 소개했다. BASA는 신보가 축적한 신용평가와 기업 데이터를 AI로 분석해, 기업 스스로 상태를 점검하고 정책 지원 효과를 분석할 수 있도록 돕는 플랫폼이다.
문병걸 연세대 교수는 국내외 금융권의 AI 활용 사례를 분석하며, AI 시대에는 정책금융기관이 단순한 지원자가 아니라 산업 혁신을 촉진하는 조정자 역할을 해야 한다고 제언했다. 이후 토론에서는 정책금융의 AI 분야 지원을 어떻게 확대할 것인지에 대한 현실적인 논의가 이어졌다.
최원목 신용보증기금 이사장은 “AI 중심으로 재편되는 환경에서 정책금융이 나아갈 방향을 점검하는 자리였다”며 “신보는 AI와 딥테크 기업의 성장을 체계적으로 지원해 혁신 생태계 조성에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.
Credit Guarantee Fund Holds Policy Forum on AI-Era Finance

The Credit Guarantee Fund (CGF) of Korea held a joint policy forum with the Korean Association for Policy Studies to discuss how policy finance should respond to the rapid shift toward an AI-driven economy.
The forum, titled “The New Government’s AI Policy and the Role of Policy Financial Institutions,” took place on December 10 at Post Tower in Myeong-dong, Seoul. More than 100 participants from academia, industry, and public institutions attended.
The event was designed to share perspectives on the AI-centered transformation of economic and industrial policy and to explore how policy financial institutions can effectively support innovation in this environment.
In the first session, Jang Hong-jin, head of CGF’s AI Innovation Center, introduced the fund’s AI- and data-driven strategies. He outlined plans for specialized guarantee systems for deep-tech companies and tailored support measures aligned with the government’s goal of becoming one of the world’s top three AI powers.
Kim Tae-ho, director at Wrtn Technologies, followed with a presentation on his company’s growth through AI adoption, sharing practical insights into successful AI transformation from a business perspective.
In the second session, Park Hyun-seok, deputy head of CGF’s Big Data Division, introduced BASA, an AI-powered corporate analysis platform. BASA uses CGF’s accumulated credit evaluation and corporate data to support self-diagnosis and assess the effectiveness of policy support.
Professor Moon Byung-gul of Yonsei University reviewed domestic and global cases of AI adoption in finance, emphasizing that policy financial institutions should strengthen their role as facilitators of industrial innovation in the AI era. A panel discussion followed, focusing on ways to expand policy finance support for AI-related industries.
CGF Chairman Choi Won-mok said, “This forum provided a meaningful opportunity to examine the direction policy finance should take in a rapidly changing AI-centered environment. CGF will continue to systematically support AI and deep-tech companies to help build a strong innovation ecosystem.”
