[브레이크뉴스 양주=김완영 기자] 경기도 양주시가 최근 양주시 드론봇인재교육센터에서 양주도시공사 임직원을 대상으로 ‘4차 산업혁명 대비 드론 활용 역량 강화 교육’을 실시했다.
이번 교육은 시 산하 공공기관 직원들의 드론 활용 능력을 배양하고, 시가 중점적으로 추진 중인 드론 정책 사업에 대한 이해도를 높여 유관기관 간 협력 체계를 공고히 하기 위해 마련됐다.
교육은 드론 기초 이론과 항공안전법규, 비행 시뮬레이터 실습, 실제 기체 조종 및 항공촬영 체험, 드론 스포츠를 활용한 팀 빌딩 등 실무와 흥미를 결합한 커리큘럼으로 진행되어 참여 직원들의 높은 호응을 얻었다.
특히, 이날 양주시 드론정책팀은 교육과 더불어 현재 시에서 역점 추진 중인 ‘드론 배송 실증사업’과 ‘디지털 트윈(Digital Twin) 기반 관제 시스템’ 구축 현황을 도시공사 측과 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.
양 기관은 도시 기반 시설 관리, 재난 안전 점검 등 도시공사의 주요 업무 영역에 드론 기술을 접목할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고, 향후 스마트시티 조성을 위한 구체적인 협업 모델을 발굴해 나가기로 의견을 모았다.
양주시 관계자는 “이번 교육이 단순한 체험을 넘어 양주시의 우수한 드론 인프라와 기술력이 공공행정 서비스 전반으로 확산되는 계기가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 양주도시공사 등 유관기관과 긴밀히 소통하여 시민들이 체감할 수 있는 드론 실증 도시를 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 양주시 드론봇인재교육센터는 공공부문 드론 전문 인력 양성은 물론, 시민 대상 드론 교육 및 체험 프로그램을 운영하며 드론 레저 문화 확산에 앞장서고 있다.
