[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시 동네 곳곳에서 묵묵히 나눔과 봉사를 실천해온 ‘풀뿌리 활동가’들이 한자리에 모였다. 창원시는 18일 진해구청 대회의실에서 창원시 새마을회(회장 홍판출) 주관으로 ‘2025년 창원시 새마을지도자대회’를 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번 대회는 한 해 동안 지역 사회의 어두운 곳을 밝히고 환경 보전과 이웃 사랑에 앞장선 새마을지도자들의 노고를 격려하고, 2026년을 향한 새로운 도약을 다짐하기 위해 마련됐다.
행사의 시작은 2025년 한 해 동안 펼쳐진 새마을운동의 발자취를 담은 성과 영상이 알렸다. 폭염 속에서도 진행된 환경 정비 활동, 소외계층을 위한 밑반찬 나눔, 재난 현장에서의 복구 작업 등 창원시 새마을회가 일궈낸 헌신적인 순간들이 고스란히 담겼다.
