【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군 별천지숲인성학교가 어린이집 겨울방학을 맞아 아이들의 창의력과 감성을 키우는 특별 체험 프로그램을 선보인다.
오는 12월 21일부터 내년 2월 28일까지 숲 교육을 바탕으로 한 자연물 활용 만들기 체험을 기간별로 나눠 운영한다.
이번 프로그램은 별천지숲인성학교의 자체 숲 인성교육 철학을 반영해, 아이들이 자연 속에서 보고 만지고 느끼며 배우는 체험형 활동으로 구성됐다.
인위적인 교구 대신 숲에서 얻을 수 있는 재료를 활용해 아이 스스로 상상력을 펼칠 수 있도록 한 점이 특징이다.
먼저 이달 21일부터 25일까지는 연밥과 솔방울, 색실 등 자연 재료를 활용해 크리스마스트리를 만드는 활동이 진행된다.
아이들은 각자의 감각과 아이디어를 바탕으로 자신만의 트리를 완성하며 표현력과 미적 감각을 기르고, 지도사와 함께 재료를 관찰하고 촉감을 느끼는 과정에서 감각 발달과 정서적 안정도 함께 경험하게 된다.
장식 재료를 나누고 함께 꾸미는 과정은 자연스럽게 협력과 배려의 가치를 배우는 시간으로 이어진다.
이달 26일부터 내년 2월 28일까지는 숲 산책을 통해 직접 모은 나뭇잎과 솔방울, 마른 꽃 등을 활용해 자연물 액자를 만든다.
아이들은 재료의 크기와 색, 질감을 살피며 구성을 고민하고 손으로 완성해 나가는 과정을 통해 관찰력과 집중력, 창의적 사고를 키우게 된다.
완성된 크리스마스트리와 자연물 액자는 별천지숲인성학교 실내 곳곳에 전시돼 겨울방학 동안 아이들과 학부모가 함께 감상할 수 있도록 할 예정이다.
별천지숲인성학교 관계자는 “아이들이 겨울 숲에서 배우고 만들며 계절을 온전히 즐길 수 있도록 준비한 프로그램”이라며 “완성된 작품 하나하나에 아이들의 상상력과 따뜻한 마음이 담겨, 아이들뿐 아니라 부모에게도 의미 있는 시간이 될 것”이라고 말했다.
