18일 군에 따르면, 군은 최근 VITO(벨기에 플랑드르 지역 소재), 겐트대 글로벌캠퍼스(총장 한태준) 간 3자 화상회의를 개최해 기후·환경 변화에 대응하는 농촌 최신 트렌드와 기술 기반 농업 전환 전략을 공유하고, 국제사회에서 지방정부가 수행할 수 있는 미래농업 모델에 대한 의견을 교환했다.
특히 논의에는 VITO 소속 기후·환경 분야 전문가 Jurgen Decloedt, Roel Smolders, 식량·농업 전문가 Dries Raymaekers 등이 참여해 △드론을 활용한 데이터 수집 및 활용 △아열대류를 통한 식량체계 전환 등 글로벌 농업 현장에서 주목받는 변화 흐름을 중심으로 심도 있는 논의를 이어갔다.
