【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=이월면 당골·화양마을 주민협의회(대표 신성섭)는 19일 (재)진천군장학회(이사장 송기섭)를 찾아 지역인재 육성을 위한 장학금 300만 원을 기탁했다.
이번 장학금은 당골·화양마을이 2025년 농업환경보전프로그램 우수사례 경진대회, 대한민국 유기농 스타상품 경진대회에서 수상한 상금 전액과 마을 주민들이 모은 성금을 더해 마련한 것으로 높은 공동체 의식과 나눔 정신을 보여주는 사례로 평가받고 있다.
당골·화양마을은 풍부한 자연환경을 바탕으로 지속가능한 농업과 건강한 생태계를 지향하는 대표적인 친환경 농촌공동체로, 친환경 농업 실천과 더불어 농업환경보전프로그램을 통해 다양한 환경보전 활동을 이어가고 있다.
신성섭 대표는 “마을 주민 모두가 함께 노력한 결과로 받은 상금을 지역사회에 환원하고자 장학금을 기탁하게 됐다”며 “우리 마을이 친환경 농업으로 지속가능한 미래를 만들어가듯, 지역인재들이 꿈을 키워 진천의 미래를 이끌어가길 바란다”고 말했다.
같은 날 이루안건축사사무소 주식회사(대표 이은소)도 300만 원의 장학금을 기탁했다.
이번 기탁은 지역사회의 미래 인재 양성을 지원하고, 그동안 지역사회로부터 받은 관심과 지지에 대한 감사의 마음을 담아 환원의 뜻으로 전달됐다.
이루안건축사사무소는 자연과 사람을 배려하는 건축 철학을 바탕으로, 지역과 함께 성장해 온 건축설계 전문기업으로 앞으로도 지역사회와의 상생을 기반으로 다양한 방식의 사회 환원을 이어갈 계획이다.
