충남 서산시가 시민들이 한겨울을 즐길 수 있는 도심 속 놀이공간인 ‘겨울 테마파크’의 문을 열었다. 오는 2026년 2월 1일까지 성연면 왕정리 일원에서 운영된다고 밝혔다.
20일 열린 개장식에는 이완섭 서산시장을 비롯해 조동식 시의회 의장, 성일종 국회의원, 윤만형 시체육회장 등이 참석해 개장을 축하했다.
이번 겨울 테마파크는 1,800㎡ 규모의 아이스링크와 600㎡ 규모의 아이스튜브 슬라이드, 어린이 눈 놀이터 등 다양한 체험 공간으로 꾸며졌다. 300면 규모의 주차장은 물론 매점 등 편의시설도 마련돼 있다. 특히 아이스링크 전면에 대형 가림막을 설치해 눈이나 비가 와도 쾌적한 환경에서 스케이팅을 즐길 수 있도록 편의성을 크게 높였다.
서산시는 이용객 중심의 운영을 위해 요일별로 이용시간을 달리했다. 화·수·목·일요일은 오전 10시부터 오후 6시까지, 금·토요일과 일요일을 제외한 공휴일은 오후 8시까지 연장 운영된다.
입장료는 무료이며, 아이스링크와 아이스튜브 슬라이드는 각각 2,000원, 피겨스케이팅은 4,000원이다. 개인 장비를 지참하면 아이스링크 이용료는 1,000원만 부담하면 된다.
이완섭 시장은 “춥고 긴 겨울, 온 가족이 함께 웃음꽃을 피울 수 있는 공간이 되길 바란다”며 “시에서도 시민들이 안전하게 즐길 수 있도록 세심하게 관리하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 올해로 4번째를 맞은 서산시 겨울 테마파크는 매년 겨울 큰 인기를 끌고 있다. 지난해 12월 21일부터 올해 2월 2일까지 운영된 테마파크에는 약 11만 2천여 명이 다녀갔다.
