【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구가 주최한 ‘2025 앞산 크리스마스 축제’가 역대 최다 인파를 동원하며 성황리에 막을 내렸다.
대구에서 유일하게 크리스마스를 주제로 하는 이 축제는 지난 20일부터 21일까지 이틀간 앞산빨래터공원 일원에서 진행됐다.
축제 기간 동안 공원에는 높이 10ｍ에 달하는 대형 크리스마스 트리와 빛 조형물이 설치돼 ‘앞산 겨울정원’이 조성됐다. 해가 지면 조명이 하나둘 켜지며 공원은 겨울밤의 정취로 물들었고, 매시간 펼쳐진 스노우쇼가 분위기를 한층 띄웠다.
인공 눈이 흩날리는 가운데 진행된 스노우쇼는 특히 가족 단위 방문객과 청소년들의 큰 호응을 받았다. 남구에 따르면 이틀 동안 약 15만 명이 축제장을 찾은 것으로 집계됐다. 이는 해당 행사 개최 이후 최다 방문 기록이다.

앞산빨래터공원 일대에 조성된 ‘앞산 겨울정원’은 축제 종료 이후에도 내년 1월 31일까지 운영될 예정이다. 겨울철 야간 관광 명소로 시민과 관광객을 맞이한다.
조재구 남구청장은 “앞산 크리스마스 축제가 해마다 시민과 관광객의 사랑을 받고 있다”며 “앞산이 대구 겨울을 대표하는 공간으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 축제를 꾸준히 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
