진천군, 서울 성동구와 상생협력 업무협약 체결

  【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군과 서울시 성동구는 22일 성동구청에서 상생협력 업무협약을 체결했다.

  이번 협약은 진천군에서 지난 7년간 성공적으로 운영해 온 노인통합돌봄사업이 올해 3월부터 전국으로 확대 시행됨에 따라 업무 노하우를 공유하고 지역 복지 발전을 위한 실질적 협력을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.

  이와 함께 △주민과 단체, 공무원 간 교류 활성화 △고향사랑기부제 상호기부 홍보, 답례품 공동개발 △문화·예술, 관광, 체육, 평생교육 등 주민 교류 활성화 △우수 행정시책, 정보 공유 등 다양한 분야에서 긴밀한 협력 체계를 구축하기로 했다.

  송기섭 진천군수는 “성동구는 다방면에서 서울의 으뜸가는 지역”이라며 “이번 협약을 계기로 두 지역에 확실한 시너지 효과가 발생하길 기대한다”고 말했다.

  한편 진천군과 성동구는 지난 2003년 10월 자매결연을 맺은 이후로 수해 위문품 기증, 특산물 장터 개최, 지역축제 상호방문 등 다양한 교류를 이어왔다.

Jincheon County, North Chungcheong Province, and Seongdong-gu, Seoul, signed a MOU for Mutually Beneficial Cooperation at Seongdong-gu Office on the 22nd.

This MOU was established to share operational expertise and strengthen practical cooperation for the development of local welfare, as the integrated senior care project, which Jincheon County has successfully operated for the past seven years, is expanding nationwide starting in March of this year.

Furthermore, the two sides agreed to establish a close cooperative system in various areas, including: 1) promoting exchanges between residents, organizations, and public officials; 2) promoting mutual donations under the Hometown Love Donation Program and jointly developing gift sets; 3) fostering resident exchanges in areas such as culture, arts, tourism, sports, and lifelong education; and 4) sharing excellent administrative policies and information.

Jincheon County Mayor Song Ki-seop stated, "Seongdong-gu is a leading district in Seoul in many ways," adding, "I hope this MOU will create tangible synergy between the two regions."

Meanwhile, since establishing a sister city relationship in October 2003, Jincheon-gun and Seongdong-gu have continued various exchanges, including donations of flood relief supplies, hosting local specialty markets, and mutual visits to local festivals.
