경기북부보훈지청이 현충시설 홍보 프로젝트인 '4인5각 함께걸어보훈'의 대장정을 마무리했다.
지청은 16일 구리시 6.25 참전기념탑을 방문해 프로젝트의 마지막 활동을 진행했다고 밝혔다.
올해 2월부터 시작된 이 프로젝트는 경기북부보훈지청 직원 4명이 한 조를 이뤄 매달 현충시설을 방문하고, 다양한 활동을 통해 보훈 정신을 실천하며 현충시설의 의미와 가치를 알리기 위해 기획됐다.

2월 의정부 3·1만세운동 기념비를 시작으로 12월 구리시 6.25 참전기념탑까지, 1년간의 여정을 성공적으로 완수한 것이다.
이날 직원들은 6.25 전쟁의 주요 사건들을 시간순으로 배열하는 퀴즈를 진행하며 전쟁의 역사를 되새기는 시간을 가졌다.

또한 현충시설을 둘러보며 6.25 참전기념탑의 역사적 의미를 되짚고, 현충시설 활성화 방안에 대해 자유롭게 의견을 나눴다.
활동에 참여한 윤 모 주무관은 "구리시 6·25 참전유공자 기념탑은 도심 속에 자리한 현충시설로, 시민들이 일상 속에서 자연스럽게 나라사랑과 애국정신을 되새길 수 있는 공간"이라며 "특정 기념일이나 전적지가 아닌 일상적인 공간에 현충시설이 더 잘 녹아들어야 한다"고 말했다.

프로젝트를 주관한 경기북부보훈지청 관계자는 "1년 동안 진행된 4인5각 프로젝트를 통해 국가유공자와 그 가족들의 희생을 되새기고 보훈 정신을 확산하는 의미 있는 시간을 보냈다"며 "이번 프로젝트는 단순한 활동을 넘어 직원들이 보훈 정신을 깊이 이해하고 실천하는 기회가 됐다"고 평가했다.
