(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 23일 반도체·항공·물류 등 미래 전략산업 분야의 핵심 인재를 체계적으로 양성하기 위한 ‘2025년 인천 협약형 특성화고 컨소시엄 운영위원회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 협약형 특성화고는 지역 산업 수요를 반영한 교육과정을 기반으로 교육청, 지자체, 특성화고, 기업, 대학이 협력해 현장 중심의 실무역량을 갖춘 인재를 양성하는 직업교육 모델이다.
인천시교육청은 2024년 인천반도체고와 정석항공과학고에 이어, 2025년 영종국제물류고가 추가 선정되며 전국에서 가장 많은 3개의 협약형 특성화고를 운영하게 됐다.
이번 운영위원회에는 교육청과 지자체, 학교, 기업, 대학, 유관기관 관계자들이 참석해 협약형 특성화고 운영 현황을 공유하고, 2025년 산업 분야별 운영 성과와 향후 활성화 및 협력 방안을 논의했다.
특히, 산업체 참여 확대, 학습 중심 현장실습 강화, 대학 연계 후학습 체계 구축, 성과관리 고도화, 지역 정주 여건 마련 등 정주 기반 인재 양성 체계 강화가 주요 추진 과제로 제시됐다.

또한, 인천시교육청이 관내 초·중·고등학생 450명을 대상으로 NASA JPL 태양계 앰배서더인 폴윤 교수의 우주과학 특강 ‘NASA 우주 탐사와 우주 경제’를 운영했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 특강은 우주 탐사의 최신 동향과 항공우주 산업의 미래를 소개하고, 학생들이 우주과학을 진로와 연계해 탐색할 수 있도록 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.
