【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=행복북구문화재단 태전도서관이 운영하는 어린이 그림책 제작 프로그램 ‘별별 그림책 어린이 작가단 9기’의 출판기념회가 지난 13일 열렸다.
이번 프로그램에 참여한 어린이들은 약 8개월 동안 기획부터 그림, 제작, 출판까지 전 과정을 직접 경험하며 한 권의 그림책을 완성했다.
‘별별 그림책 어린이 작가단’은 어린이들이 스스로 이야기를 만들고 그림을 그려, 편집과 제작을 거쳐 실제 책으로 출판하는 프로그램이다. 올해 9기는 4월 12일부터 12월 6일까지 매주 토요일 총 35회에 걸쳐 진행됐다.
참여 어린이들은 자신만의 이야기를 그림책으로 풀어내며 창의력과 표현력을 키웠다. 또, 책이 만들어지는 모든 과정을 직접 몸소 체험하며 자연스럽게 이해하는 시간을 가졌다. 완성된 그림책은 출판기념회에서 처음 공개됐다.
이날 출판기념회에서 어린이 작가들은 무대에 올라 직접 자신의 작품을 소개하고, 참여 소감을 전했다. 가족들은 아이들의 성장을 함께 축하하며 특별한 추억을 쌓았다.
태전도서관 관계자는 “아이들이 한 권의 책이 완성되는 전 과정을 직접 경험하면서 책에 대한 이해가 넓어졌다”며 “앞으로도 그림책 제작과 출판을 직접 체험할 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The "Byeolbyeol Picture Book Children's Writers Group" program allows children to create their own stories, draw illustrations, edit, produce, and publish them as actual books. This year's 9th group ran for a total of 35 sessions, every Saturday from April 12th to December 6th.
The participating children cultivated their creativity and expressive skills by telling their own stories in picture books. They also experienced the entire bookmaking process firsthand, naturally gaining a deeper understanding of the process. The completed picture books were unveiled for the first time at the publication ceremony.
At the publication ceremony, the children's writers took the stage to introduce their works and share their thoughts on their participation. Families celebrated their children's growth and created special memories together.
A Taejeon Library official said, “Children’s understanding of books has broadened as they have experienced the entire process of completing a book firsthand,” and added, “We will continue to operate various programs where they can experience picture book production and publishing firsthand.”
