고양특례시가 청소년 진로교육의 새로운 선순환 구조를 본격화한다.
고양시는 23일 시청 백석별관에서 '2025 고양시대학생멘토단(고양유니브) 수료식 및 진로교육 콘퍼런스'를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이날 행사에는 대학생 멘토, 직업인 멘토, 학부모, 교사 등 진로교육 관계자 160여 명이 참석했다.
이동환 고양특례시장, 이현숙 고양교육지원청 교육장, 최회재 고양시청소년재단 대표이사가 함께한 이날 행사는 올 한 해 진로교육에 헌신한 관계자들을 격려하는 자리로 마련됐다.

1부 수료식에서는 올해 관내 중고등학교에서 학과 멘토링을 진행한 대학생 멘토 129명이 수료증을 받았다.
특히 이번 행사에서는 고양유니브 수료자들의 공식 네트워크인 '컴유니티(commUNIty)'가 정식 출범해 주목을 받았다.
컴유니티는 지난 7월 개최된 중간평가회에서 선배 멘토들이 후배들에게 취업 노하우를 전수한 '유니브 이즈 백(Univ is Back)' 행사를 계기로 탄생했다.
이를 통해 중고등학생에서 대학생, 청년 직장인으로 이어지는 고양시만의 차별화된 인적 자원 환류 체계가 구축될 전망이다.
2부 콘퍼런스에서는 진로교육 유공자 포상과 함께 2025년 주요 사업 결과가 발표됐다.
올해 고양특례시와 고양교육지원청, 일산서구청소년수련관의 협력으로 추진된 고양형 진로체험 사업에는 지역체험처, 전현직 직업인, 대학생, 학부모, 진로교사 등 780명이 참여했다.
이들은 관내 청소년 59,358명을 대상으로 대학생 학과 멘토링, 직업인 멘토링, 현장 직업체험 등 다양한 진로체험 프로그램을 제공했다.
시 관계자는 "진로교육은 청소년들이 더 넓은 세상을 보고 스스로의 가능성을 발견해 나가는 과정"이라며 "학교와 지역사회, 현장이 함께 청소년들을 지원할 수 있도록 진로교육 체계를 더욱 견고히 다져 나가겠다"고 밝혔다.
