고양특례시가 23일 열린시장실에서 제6기 마을세무사 위촉식을 개최하고, 제5기 운영 유공 세무사에 대한 표창을 수여했다고 24일 밝혔다.
이번에 위촉된 제6기 마을세무사는 총 40명으로, 2026년부터 2027년까지 2년간 활동하게 된다.
이들은 동별로 배치돼 영세자영업자 등 세무사 상담 이용이 어려운 주민들을 대상으로 무료 세무상담 서비스를 제공할 예정이다.

시는 이날 제5기 마을세무사 운영에 기여한 공로를 인정받은 세무사 4명에게 표창장을 수여했다.
제5기 세무사 40명은 2024년부터 올해 말까지 고양시민 3,000여 명에게 무료 세무상담을 진행하며 시민들의 세무 고충 해결에 앞장섰다.
고양시 마을세무사 제도는 시와 고양세무사회, 동고양세무사회의 협력으로 운영되며, 세무사회 소속 세무사들의 자발적인 재능기부를 통해 공익 봉사활동을 펼치고 있다.
이동환 고양시장은 "최근 대내외적인 불확실성이 확대되고 있는 어려운 경제 상황에서도 시민들을 위해 재능을 기부하며 공익활동을 펼쳐주신 세무사 여러분께 깊이 감사드린다"며 "앞으로도 변함없는 관심과 활동이 계속되길 바란다"고 말했다.
