【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 행정안전부가 주관한 ‘2025년 재난관리평가’에서 최우수기관으로 선정되며 행정안전부장관상 수상과 함께 특별교부세 1억3천만 원을 확보했다.
특히 증평군은 지난 2020년부터 코로나19로 평가 중단됐던 2021년을 제외하고 올해까지 5년 연속 재난관리평가 우수기관에 선정되는 성과를 거두며, 재난안전 행정 역량을 다시 한번 입증했다.
재난관리평가는 중앙부처와 공공기관, 지방자치단체를 대상으로 재난의 예방·대비·대응·복구 전 과정을 종합적으로 평가하는 제도로, 행정안전부가 매년 실시하는 재난관리 분야 최고 권위의 평가다.
군은 이번 평가에서 △재난안전 컨트롤타워 기능 강화를 통한 신속한 상황 전파 및 초기 대응체계 확립 △자연·사회재난 대비 사전 점검과 취약지역 집중 관리 △실전형 재난대응 훈련과 유관기관 협업체계 구축 △주민 참여형 안전문화 확산 등에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
또한 재난 발생 시 현장 대응력을 높이기 위해 매뉴얼 중심의 대응체계를 지속적으로 정비하고, 공무원 대상 재난 대응 역량 강화 교육을 체계적으로 추진해 온 점도 최우수기관 선정의 주요 요인으로 꼽혔다.
이번에 확보한 특별교부세 1억3천만 원은 향후 재난 예방시설 확충과 안전 인프라 개선, 현장 대응 역량 강화를 위한 사업에 투입될 예정이다.
군 관계자는 “5년 연속 최우수기관 선정은 군민의 안전을 최우선 가치로 두고 전 부서가 함께 노력해 온 결과”라며 “앞으로도 선제적 재난관리와 현장 중심 대응을 통해 군민이 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 안전한 증평을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
