이재명 대통령이 25일 성탄절을 맞아 "다가오는 새해, 국민 여러분 모두의 일상에 따뜻한 온기·희망이 닿을 수 있도록 더욱 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다.
이 대통령은 이날 자신의 페이스북을 통해 "가장 낮고 어두운 곳에서 태어나 고통 받고 아픈 이들과 평생을 함께하신 예수 그리스도를 떠올린다"며 "그분의 삶이야말로 우리가 기억해야 할 진정한 성탄 의미가 아닐까 생각한다"며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "매년 돌아오는 날이지만 오늘만큼은 조금 더 행복하시길, 사랑하는 이들과 눈을 마주하고 웃으며 즐거운 시간을 보내시길 바란다"고 했다.
또 "누군가에게는 위로가 되고 쉼이 되며 또 누군가에게는 내일을 살아갈 용기가 되는 귀한 성탄이길 두 손 모아 기도한다"고 덧붙였다.
