대통령실이 25일 쿠팡의 대규모 개인 정보 유출 사태 대책 마련을 위헤 관계부처 장관급 회의를 긴급 소집했다.
대통령실에 따르면 김용범 정책실장이 주재하는 이날 오후 회의엔 개인정보보호위원장·방송미디어통신위원장·공정거래위원장·과학기술정보통신부·국토교통부·외교부 장관·국세청장·경찰청장·국가정보원장·대통령실 하준경 경제수석·하정우 AI미래기획수석·오현주 국가안보실 제3차장 등이 참석한다.

미 뉴욕 증시에 상장된 쿠팡 경우 이번 사태로 인해 해외 기업 규제 논란이 일고 있는 가운데 로버트 오브라이언 전 미 국가안보보좌관(1기 트럼프 행정부)은 지난 23일(현지시간) 엑스(X·옛 트위터)를 통해 “트럼프 대통령은 한국과의 무역 관계 재균형을 위해 많은 노력을 기울여왔다”며 “한국이 미국 기술 기업들을 겨냥해 그 노력을 훼손한다면 매우 유감스런 일이 될 것”이라고 지적했다.
