남구는 이번 평가 결과에 따라 특별교부세 1억 3천만 원과 포상금 400만 원도 확보했다.
재난관리평가는 중앙 및 공공기관, 지방자치단체 등 338개 기관을 대상으로 해마다 실시하는 정부 종합 평가다. 중앙재난관리평가단이 재난 예방과 대비, 대응, 복구 등 단계별 필수 업무와 재난 유형별 관리 활동 등 38개 지표를 점검한다.
남구는 이번 평가에서 재난관리기금 운용의 적정성, 취약계층 안전관리 강화, 감염병 재난 저감 활동, 민간 다중이용시설 위기관리 체계 구축 등 여러 분야에서 고르게 높은 점수를 받아 우수기관으로 선정됐다. 특히 일상적인 재난 예방과 위기 상황 대응을 아우르는 관리 체계가 긍정적인 평가를 받은 것으로 전해졌다.
남구는 이번에 확보한 특별교부세를 재난 예방을 위한 신규 안전 사업에 투입해 지역 안전 인프라를 강화할 계획이다. 이를 통해 자연재난과 사회재난에 대한 선제적 대응 능력을 높이고, 주민이 체감하는 안전도 향상에 주력할 방침이다.
조재구 남구청장은 “구민의 생명과 안전을 지키는 것을 최우선 가치로 두고 전 직원이 함께 애쓴 결과”라며 “앞으로도 재난 예방과 안전 관리에 행정 역량을 집중해 안전하고 활기찬 명품 남구를 만들어나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Nam-gu plans to invest the newly secured special grant funds in new disaster prevention safety projects to strengthen the local safety infrastructure. This will enhance our ability to proactively respond to natural and social disasters and focus on enhancing residents' perceived safety.
