고양특례시 덕양구 고양동은 지난 29일 고양송죽라이온스클럽이 저소득 노인 가구의 영양 개선을 위해 영양식 음료 40박스를 후원했다고 밝혔다.

이번 후원품은 균형 있는 영양 섭취가 어려운 저소득 독거노인과 노인 부부 가구를 대상으로 했으며 고양동 찾아가는복지팀이 직접 해당 가구를 방문하여 물품을 전달할 계획이다.
고양송죽라이온스클럽은 동절기 취약 계층인 노인 가구가 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 지난 2년간 이불 후원 봉사를 지속해 왔다.
올해는 2월에 이어 12월에도 식사 준비가 어려운 어르신들을 위해 영양식 음료를 기탁하며 꾸준한 나눔을 실천하고 있다.
정소희 고양송죽라이온스클럽 회장은 식사 준비에 어려움을 겪는 어르신들의 소식을 듣고 후원을 결정하게 되었다며 앞으로도 주변 이웃의 상황을 세심하게 살피며 나눔 활동을 이어가겠다고 전했다.
장재영 고양동장은 연초에 이어 연말에도 어르신들을 위해 영양음료를 선물해 주어 감사하다며 어르신들의 건강에 실질적인 도움이 되길 바라고 이웃사랑을 실천하는 회원들의 마음이 잘 전달되길 바란다고 말했다.
