【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군이 농촌진흥청에서 주관하는 ‘2026년 기술보급 블렌딩 협력모델 공모사업’에 선정됐다고 31일 밝혔다.
기술보급 블렌딩 협력모델 사업은 농업기술센터가 주관해 지역 중소형 수박의 현안문제를 해결하고 현장 중심의 기술보급 모델을 구축하기 위한 것으로 2026년부터 2년간 10억원(국비 5억원, 지방비 5억원)의 예산을 투입할 예정이다.
특히 연구 성과를 단순 보급하는 기존 방식에서 벗어나 현장 수요 → 연구·기술 연계 → 민간 참여 → 현장 확산으로 이어지는 블렌딩 구조를 적용함으로써 기술 정착률과 농가 체감도를 동시에 높인다는 방침이다.
올해 추진하는 주요 사업으로는 △진천 중소형 수박 생산자 협의체 구성 △수박 병해충 바이러스 신속 진단 △중소형 수박 공동 집하장 구축 △케어팜 연계 미니수박 터널 조성 △중소형 수박 통합 브랜드 개발 등이다.
군은 이번 사업을 통해 충북 최대 규모의 중소형 수박 거점 단지 기반 확립과 농촌진흥청 주관 최고 품질 단지 대상 단지에 걸맞은 품질과 기술력을 담은 중소형 수박 생산의 발판을 마련할 계획이다.
김수향 기술보급과장은 “현안 문제해결 중심의 중소형 수박 지역 주도 발전 모델을 구축해 수박 시장의 다변화와 소비자 트랜드에 적극 대응해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

The Technology Dissemination Blending Collaborative Model project, led by the Agricultural Technology Center, aims to address pressing issues facing local small and medium-sized watermelons and establish a field-centered technology dissemination model. A budget of 1 billion won (500 million won from the national government and 500 million won from local governments) will be allocated over two years, starting in 2026.

Kim Soo-hyang, Director of the Technology Dissemination Division, stated, "We will establish a regionally-led development model for small and medium-sized watermelon producers focused on solving pressing issues and proactively respond to the diversification of the watermelon market and consumer trends."
