[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 대한민국 대표과일 10년 연속 선정이라는 대기록을 달성한 산청 고종시로 만든 ‘지리산 산청 명품 곶감’을 만끽할 수 있는 제19회 지리산산청곶감축제가 8일부터 11일까지 열린다.
달콤 쫄깃한 식감을 자랑하는 곶감은 우리 민족 전통의 주전부리이자 비타민 A와 C가 풍부해 겨울철 영양 간식으로 손꼽힌다.
이 같은 산청 곶감을 만날 수 있는 지리산산청곶감축제는 탐방객을 위한 다양한 프로그램이 마련됐다.
◇탐방객 참여 체험행사 다채
이번 제19회 지리산산청곶감축제에서는 다양한 프로그램과 체험행사를 통해 병오년 출발의 좋은 기억을 추억할 수 있도록 구성했다.
특히 올해 축제장에서는 지리산 자락의 맑고 차가운 날씨와 낮은 습도로 여느 때보다 품질이 우수한 곶감을 만나볼 수 있다.
축제는 8일 단성면 남사예담촌에 위치한 국내 최고령인 641년을 자랑하는 산청곶감의 원종인 고종시나무에서 축제 성공개최를 기원하는 제례행사로 시작된다.
이어 이날 오후 2시 개막식을 갖고 본격적인 축제가 펼쳐진다.
올해 축제는 탐뱅객을 위한 다양한 프로그램으로 꾸며진다.
먼저 무료 즉석사진관, 목공예, 비즈공예 체험 등 관광객이 직접 참여하며 즐길 수 있는 프로그램이 운영된다.
이와 함께 곶감 떡메치기와 곶감떡 나누기 등 체험행사가 마련됐다.
