파주문화재단이 2026년 병오년 새해를 문화체육관광부 장관 표창 수상 소식과 함께 시작한다.

재단은 2025년 12월 31일 지역 역사 및 문화자원 활성화와 유관 기관과의 성공적인 협력 모델을 구축한 공로를 인정받아 문화체육관광부 장관 표창을 수상했다.
이번 표창은 국립민속박물관 파주관이 재단과의 연계 협업 과정에서 나타난 기획력과 현장 운영 역량, 가시적인 성과를 높이 평가한 결과다.
파주문화재단은 지난 2025년 3월 국립민속박물관 파주관과 문화예술교육 및 학술 교류 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 체결하고 실무 중심의 협력 체계를 구축해 왔다.
특히 의주대로 탐험대 파주탐탐은 파주의 역사 자원과 현대적 문화예술을 결합한 프로그램으로 큰 호응을 얻었으며 해당 프로그램은 학년별 특성에 맞춰 저학년은 국립민속박물관의 유물 보존 과정 체험을, 고학년은 미메시스 아트 뮤지엄의 예술 체험을 진행하며 지역 문화에 대한 이해를 높였다.
또한 재단은 인문학 탐방 프로그램인 율곡과 우계에게 길을 묻다와 연계해 국립민속박물관 자원봉사자들의 지역 문화 답사를 진행했다.
이와 함께 재단 직원 역량 강화 교육을 상호 교류하는 등 인적 교류를 기반으로 한 지속 가능한 문화 거버넌스 모델을 구축했다는 평가를 받았다.
파주문화재단은 설립 이후 시민 문화권 확산과 문화복지 실현, 지역문화 예술지원 활성화 등 파주의 문화 경쟁력을 높이는 사업을 전개해 왔다.
재단은 이번 수상을 동력 삼아 2026년에도 시민 중심의 문화예술사업을 이어갈 방침이며 생활문화 활성화를 위한 시민 참여 프로그램 확대와 수요자 맞춤형 프로그램 기획, 생애주기별 교육, 독창적인 지역 축제 운영, 예술인 창작 지원 등을 통해 문화 허브로서의 역할을 강화할 계획이다.
