이번 발표에서 경북교육청은 안전과 심리 지원 강화, AI·디지털 전환, 학령인구 감소 등 변화하는 교육 환경에 적극 대응하겠다는 방침을 분명히 했다.
이날 교육청은 비전의 세 가지 축을 ‘따뜻한 배움’, ‘모두의 성장’, ‘지속가능한 내일’로 제시했다.
특히 최근 2년 연속 시도교육청 평가에서 최우수 성과를 거둔 경험을 바탕으로, 교실의 안전과 정서 회복, 교육의 질적 전환에 힘을 쏟겠다고 강조했다.
‘따뜻한 배움’ 실현을 위해 학교폭력과 범죄 예방 등을 포함한 안전 교육을 한층 강화하고, 전국 최초로 도입한 ‘수업 보듬이’, 학생 마음건강 지원 시스템 ‘안심온’, ‘온전한 교육복지 119’ 등을 통해 촘촘한 심리·정서 지원책도 내놓았다.
아울러 AI 분야에서는 ‘경북형 AI 종합 계획’을 수립해 맞춤형 학습 플랫폼 ‘경북 AI 배움터’ 운영에 나서고, 교직원 대상 생성형 AI 플랫폼 ‘AI 웍스’도 전 기관으로 확대해 행정 부담을 낮출 계획이다.
‘모두의 성장’ 전략으로는 질문과 도전 중심의 수업 문화를 학교는 물론 가정까지 퍼뜨리고, 진학과 자기주도 학습 지원 체계도 한층 고도화한다. 학교지원센터와 늘봄센터를 강화해 현장 교사들의 행정 부담을 덜어주고, 학습과 휴식이 조화를 이루는 공간과 인프라 확충에도 적극 나서기로 했다.
‘지속가능한 내일’을 위한 정책으로는 학령인구 감소에 대응해 정주학교, 온라인학교, 경북형 IB 도입 등 지역 맞춤형 교육 모델 확산과 함께, 글로벌 교류 및 생태전환 교육도 추진한다. 저탄소 급식, 생태 탐방, 과학·문학 인재 양성 등도 대표 과제로 선정됐다.
