[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 진해수산업협동조합이 8일 오전 5시 속천 위판장에서 새해 첫 경매를 알리는 '초매식'을 개최하고, 어업인의 풍어와 만선을 기원하며 힘찬 출발을 다짐했다.
특히 조합은 대내외적 난관 속에서도 2025년 흑자 경영을 달성하며 배당까지 실시할 수 있게 되어, 그 의미를 더했다.
이날 초매식에는 진해수협 김일용 조합장을 필두로 이종욱 국회의원, 이치우·김순택·박동철 경상남도의원, 창원시의원 등 지역 정관계 인사들이 대거 참석해 자리를 빛냈다.

김일용 조합장은 인사말을 통해 "대내외적으로 어려운 경제 여건은 물론, 진해신항 건설과 고수온 현상 등 복합적인 현안 속에서도 조합의 건전성을 지키기 위해 모든 임직원이 최선을 다해왔다"고 지난 한 해를 돌아봤다.
이어 "앞으로도 어업인의 권익 보호와 안정적인 생업 유지를 최우선 과제로 삼아, 조합의 모든 역량을 집중해 어업인들에게 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다"며 굳은 의지를 밝혔다.
한편 진해수협은 이 같은 어려운 상황 속에서도 2025년도 결산에서 흑자 경영을 달성했다. 이는 올해 조합원들에게 배당을 실시할 수 있는 기반을 마련한 것으로, 진해수협이 위기를 기회 삼아 내실 있는 성장을 이뤄냈음을 증명했다.
