포항시, 2026년 농촌지도·기술보급 시범사업 본격 추진

포항시농업기술센터는 올해 농촌활력과 17개 사업, 기술보급과 59개 사업 등 총 76개 시범사업에 61억1,500만 원을 투입한다고 밝혔다. 이번 사업은 기후변화 대응과 스마트농업 확산, 신기술 보급, 청년농업인과 귀농·귀촌인의 안정적인 정착을 핵심 방향으로 추진된다.

농촌활력과 분야에서는 농촌인력 육성, 생활자원, 경관치유농업, 귀농·귀촌 등 4개 분야 17개 사업을 통해 사람 중심의 농촌 활력 회복에 나선다. 청년농업인과 귀농·귀촌인의 안정적인 정착을 지원하고, 농업·농촌을 단순 생산 공간에서 치유·체험·가공·창업이 어우러진 생활·문화 공간으로 확장해 나간다는 계획이다.

기술보급과 분야에서는 작물환경, 소득작목, 특화작목, 아열대작목, 농기계 등 5개 분야 59개 사업을 추진해 포항 농업의 생산 구조를 한 단계 고도화한다. 기후변화와 농촌 노동력 감소 등 구조적 변화에 대응해 스마트 기술과 신소득 작목을 현장에 확산하고, 지역 특성에 맞는 기술 실증을 통해 지속가능한 농업 기반을 구축한다는 방침이다.

특히 만감류, 바나나, 애플망고 등 아열대 작물을 대상으로 한 아열대 과수 스마트팜 조성사업과 아열대 작목 들녘특구 조성사업은 총 11억 원 규모로 추진된다. 이들 사업은 포항형 기후 대응 농업 모델 구축의 핵심 사업으로 주목받고 있다.

시범사업 신청 기간은 이달 2일부터 20일까지다. 대부분의 사업은 각 읍·면 농업인상담소 방문 접수 또는 이메일·우편을 통해 신청할 수 있으며, 귀농·귀촌 분야는 읍·면 행정복지센터, 경관치유농업 분야는 농업기술센터 농촌활력과 경관치유농업팀에서 별도로 접수한다. 접수된 신청 농가는 현지 조사와 지방보조금 심의 절차를 거쳐 최종 선정된다.

포항시 관계자는 “이번 시범사업은 현장에서 체감할 수 있는 기술 확산과 농업인의 소득 기반 강화를 목표로 한다”며 “기후변화와 농촌 고령화에 대응하는 포항형 농촌지도 모델을 지속적으로 발전시켜 나가겠다”고 말했다.
