8일 신년 기자간담회서 5대 시정 목표 발표… 경제·복지·문화 망라
철도망 구축·국제 크루즈·신산업 육성 등 ‘서산형 미래 먹거리’ 집중
이완섭 서산시장이 2026년을 시정 성과의 ‘완성’과 ‘미래 준비’의 원년으로 선포했다.
이 시장은 8일 시청 대회의실에서 열린 언론인과의 대화에서 “만화개진(萬和開進, 만물이 화합하여 미래로 나아감)의 자세로 서산의 밝은 미래를 열겠다”며 새해 시정 운영 청사진을 제시했다.
이 시장은 가장 먼저 ‘풍요로운 경제도시’를 위한 교통 인프라 확충 의지를 분명히 했다.
특히 제5차 국가철도망 구축계획에 내포태안철도 ,충청내륙철도 ,대산항인입철도 ,중부권 동서횡단철도가 반영될 수 있도록 행정력을 총동원한다는 방침이다.
이미 궤도에 오른 서산공항과 서산~영덕 간 고속도로 건설은 속도를 높이고, 올해로 3회차를 맞는 국제 크루즈선의 성공적 운항을 통해 ‘글로벌 해양 관광 도시’로서의 입지를 굳힌다. 또한, 지속가능항공유(SAF) 종합실증센터 등 미래 신산업 기반을 마련하고 대산3확장·그린 산단 등 특화 산업단지 조성도 병행한다.
