[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 의령곤충생태학습관이 2025년 한 해 동안 관람객 13만 명을 넘어서며 개관 이후 가장 많은 관람객을 기록했다고 9일 밝혔다.
의령곤충생태학습관은 2016년 개관 이후 지역을 대표하는 생태체험 공간으로 운영돼 왔으며, 2025년 관람객 수는 전년 대비 약 25% 증가한 132,088명으로 집계됐다.
생태유리온실 증축공사로 약 2개월간 휴관했음에도 관람객 증가세를 이어갔다.
의령군은 지방소멸대응기금 20억 원을 투입한 생태유리온실 증축과 함께 전시 콘텐츠를 보완하고 관람 환경을 개선한 점이 관람객 증가에 영향을 준 것으로 보고 있다.
아울러 체험 프로그램을 확대하며 학습관 운영의 내실을 다져왔다.

생태해설사와 함께하는 해설 프로그램, 먹이주기 체험, 계절별 특별전시는 가족 단위 관람객의 호응을 얻었으며 재방문 사례도 꾸준히 늘고 있다.
한편 의령곤충생태학습관은 올해 개관 10주년을 맞아 이를 기념하는 특별전과 다양한 체험 프로그램을 준비 중이다.
특별전에서는 생명의 탄생 과정과 생태적 가치를 주제로 한 전시를 선보이고, 가족 참여형 프로그램과 기념 이벤트도 함께 운영할 계획이다.
군 관계자는 “이번 10주년을 계기로 그동안의 운영 성과를 바탕으로 교육·체험·관광 기능을 연계한 운영을 더욱 내실 있게 추진해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
