【브레이크뉴스 포항】 박영재 기자=안승대 포항시장 출마예정자는 10일 새벽 포항 두호·환여 설머리지구 공영주차장과 인근 해변에서 환경정화 활동을 벌이며 시민들과 소통의 시간을 가졌다고 밝혔다.
이날 활동에는 안 출마예정자와 이웃사랑나눔회 회원들이 참여해 해변과 주차장 주변에 방치된 생활 쓰레기와 해양 폐기물을 수거했다. 특히 겨울철 해변에 쌓인 각종 쓰레기를 집중적으로 정리하며 쾌적한 해안 환경 조성에 힘을 보탰다.
참여자들은 ‘미래로 열린 포항, 깨끗한 포항’, ‘도시의 품격을 높이는 작은 실천’이라는 문구가 적힌 현수막을 들고 환경 보호와 시민 실천의 중요성을 알렸다.
안 출마예정자는 “깨끗한 도시 환경은 행정만의 몫이 아니라 시민과 함께 만들어가는 공동의 약속”이라며 “작은 실천이 모여 포항의 품격을 높이고 살기 좋은 도시로 나아가는 힘이 된다”고 말했다. 이어 “앞으로도 현장에서 시민들과 직접 호흡하며 포항의 미래를 고민하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이번 새벽 환경정화 활동은 현장에서 답을 찾는 정치를 표방해 온 안 출마예정자의 생활밀착형 정치 행보의 일환으로, 지역 현안과 시민 생활에 밀접한 접점을 넓히기 위한 행보로 풀이된다.

Ahn and members of the Neighborhood Love Sharing Association participated in the cleanup, collecting household waste and marine debris left around the beach and parking lot. They particularly focused on cleaning up various types of trash that accumulate on the beach during the winter, contributing to creating a pleasant coastal environment.
Participants held banners with the slogans, "Pohang, Open to the Future, Clean Pohang" and "Small Actions that Enhance the Dignity of the City," and emphasized the importance of environmental protection and citizen participation.
Ahn stated, "A clean urban environment is not the responsibility of the administration alone, but a shared promise made with citizens. Small actions, when combined, will elevate Pohang's dignity and become a more livable city." He continued, "I will continue to engage directly with citizens on the ground and consider Pohang's future."
This early morning environmental cleanup activity is seen as part of Ahn's ongoing commitment to politics that focuses on finding solutions on the ground, and as a way to broaden his connection to local issues and the lives of citizens.
