[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 남해 상주 은모래비치의 새로운 해양관광 거점이자 주민 소득 창출의 기반이 될 ‘상주 해양레저스테이션’이 지난 9일 개관했다.

상주 해양레저스테이션은 상주 은모래마을 협동조합에서 운영하게 된다.

시설 내부에는 마을협동조합이 운영하는 ‘상주은모래마을카페’를 비롯해 사무실, 주민 회의실, 루프탑 등이 자리잡았다.

특히 1층에 위치한 카페는 지난해 12월 12일 임시 오픈 이후, 상주 은모래비치의 절경을 바로 앞에서 즐길 수 있다는 장점 덕분에 지역 주민과 방문객들로부터 큰 호응을 얻고 있다.

장충남 남해군수는 “남해군에서 바다가 이토록 가까이 보이는 곳이 흔치 않은 만큼, 이곳은 앞으로 우리군의 또 하나의 명소가 될 것”이라며 “운영에 있어 조급해하기보다 천천히 조합원들의 마음을 맞춰가며 내실 있게 운영해달라”고 당부했다.

이어 “이번 개관을 계기로 상주면이 더욱 단합하고 발전하길 기대하며, 상주 해양레저스테이션이 상주면의 자긍심이자 지역 관광에 새로운 활력이 되길 바란다”고 덧붙였다.
