인천대 경영대학원에 따르면, 과정은 세계 시장 및 국내 기업 환경의 변화에 효과적으로 대응할 수 있는 최고경영자를 양성하고자 하는 목적으로 지난 2004년 설립되었으며, 지금까지 약 800명에 가까운 글로벌 비즈니스 리더들에게 다양한 실무와 경영 지식을 전수하고 전문성과 창의성을 겸비한 최고경영자로 성장시켜 왔다.
