세종교육청이 생활․정서․학습 통합을 지원하고 기초학력 책임교육을 강화로 하는 올해 업무계획을 내놨다.
학교자치가 이루어질 수 있도록 교육활동이 중심이 되는 학교를 구현하겠다는 방침이다.
구현희 세종시교육감 권한대행은 13일 시 교육청에서 신년 기자회견을 열고 이같은 내용으로 하는 '2026년 주요 업무계획'을 발표했다.
먼저 구 권한대행은 "아이들이 겪는 생활․정서․학습 영역의 어려움 정도에 따라 단계적으로 지원하는 통합 지원 체계를 구축하겠다"고 밝혔다.
학생생활교육지원센터를 중심으로 학생 생활 전반에 대한 통합적 지원체계를 마련하고 전문적․지속적으로 대응하겠다는 계획이다.
구 권한대행은 "최소 학습권 보장을 위해 기초학력전담교사와 기초학력 선도학교 운영, 정다움학습지원튜터, 두드림학교 확대를 통해 맞춤형 학습 지원을 체계적으로 강화하겠다"고 강조했다.
특히 구 권한대행은 세종형 학교지원 모델인 학교지원본부를 중심으로 지원 대상과 범위를 확대하고 학교 행정 부담을 줄여나가겠다고 말했다.
3대 핵심 과제인 ▲생활․정서․학습 통합 지원 ▲기초학력 책임교육 강화 ▲교육활동 중심 학교 구현을 흔들림 없이 이어가기 위해 5대 정책 목표를 확정했다.

구 권한대행은 단순한 기술을 배우는 AI 교육을 넘어, 수학적 사고력과 인문학적 소양을 바탕으로 질문하고 판단할 줄 아는‘미래 인재’를 키우는 데 집중하겠다"며 "1월에 문을 여는 평생교육원과 교육문화원을 통해 유아부터 성인까지, 학교에서 마을까지 이어지는 전 생애 학습도시 꿈을 완성해 나가겠다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "서로 다른 생각과 입장이 조화롭게 융합되어 막힘없이 소통할 때, 아이들을 위한 진정한 교육 혁신이 가능하다"며 "원융회통(圓融會通)의 정신으로 끊임없이 소통하며, 단 한 명의 아이도 소외되지 않는 특별해지는 세종교육'을 실현하겠다고 약속했다.
