파주시는 14일 김경일 시장이 도시정보센터를 방문해 24시간 운영 중인 교통·방범 시스템 운영 현황을 점검하고 근무자들을 격려했다고 밝혔다.
김 시장은 이날 통합관제실을 직접 둘러보며 관제 시스템 운영 상황을 확인하고, 시민 안전과 교통 흐름 개선을 위해 밤낮으로 노력하는 직원들에게 감사의 마음을 전했다.

파주시 도시정보센터는 시 전역의 방범 CCTV를 24시간 통합 관제하며 범죄 예방과 신속한 사건 대응 임무를 수행하고 있다.
안전 취약지역과 우범지역을 중심으로 CCTV를 지속 설치해 시민 안전망을 촘촘히 구축하고 있다.
교통 분야에서는 지능형 교통체계(ITS) 설치·운영, 교통신호기 관리, 신호체계 개선 사업 등을 통해 교통 혼잡 완화와 사고 예방에 힘쓰고 있다.
버스정보시스템(BIS) 설치로 시민들의 대중교통 이용 편의성도 높이고 있다.
