【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이장연합회는 15일 군청 대회의실에서 2026년도 정기총회를 열고 한 해 운영 방향과 군정 협력 방안을 논의했다.
증평군이장연합회는 증평읍과 도안면 이장 전원 113명으로 구성된 단체로, 행정과 주민을 잇는 가교 역할을 수행하며 군정 전반에 실질적인 협력을 이어오고 있다.
이날 정기총회는 개회사와 내빈 축사를 시작으로 모범 이장에 대한 표창 수여, 기념촬영, 정기회의 순으로 진행됐다.
참석자들은 마을 현안 공유와 함께 주민 소통 강화, 지역 발전을 위한 역할 확대에 뜻을 모았다.
안창태 회장은 개회사에서 “지난 3년간 이장님들의 적극적인 참여와 헌신 덕분에 이장연합회를 안정적으로 이끌 수 있었다”며 “앞으로도 증평 발전과 이장들의 권익 신장을 위해 더욱 내실 있는 연합회 운영에 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.
김두환 부군수는 축사를 통해 “행정의 손길이 마을 구석구석까지 닿을 수 있도록 현장에서 애써주시는 이장님들의 노고에 감사드린다”며 “증평군이 추진 중인 주요 현안 사업들이 원활히 추진될 수 있도록 이장연합회와의 협력을 더욱 강화해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 증평군이장연합회는 지난해 증평군민의 날 주민화합 행사를 기획·추진하며 지역공동체 결속에 기여했으며, 인삼골축제에서는 농악 공연을 선보이는 등 지역 문화 활성화에도 힘을 보탰다.
