연납 신청 후 납부하지 않을 경우 6월과 12월 정기분으로 부과되며, 한번 연납을 신청·납부하면 해당 차량은 매년 연납이 가능해 재신청하지 않아도 된다.
자동차세 연납 신청은 군청 세정과를 방문하거나 전화로 신청할 수 있으며, 위택스를 통한 직접 전자 신청도 가능하다.
납부 방법은 가상계좌 납부, 전국 모든 은행의 CD/ATM기에서 고지서 없이 통장, 신용카드로 납부 가능하다.
