충남 당진시가 전세사기 피해를 예방하고 세입자들의 주거 안정 지원을 강화하기 위해 올해도 ‘전세보증금 반환보증 보증료 지원사업’을 이어간다.
이를 위해 당진시는 19일, 무주택 임차인이 주택도시보증공사(HUG), 한국주택금융공사(HF), 서울보증보험(SGI)을 통해 전세보증금반환보증에 가입한 경우, 실제 납부한 보증료 범위 내에서 최대 40만 원까지 지원한다고 밝혔다.
지원 대상은 신청일 기준 보증보험에 가입한 자 중 임차보증금이 3억 원 이하인 무주택 임차인이다. 소득 기준은 △청년(만 18~39세)은 연 5,000만 원 이하 △일반 시민은 연 6,000만 원 이하 △신혼부부는 연 7,500만 원 이하로 설정됐다.
전세보증금반환보증은 임대인의 계약 불이행이나 경제적 사정 등으로 전세금을 돌려받지 못하는 피해를 예방하기 위한 제도다.
하지만 보증료 부담이 소규모 임차인에게는 부담으로 작용해 왔다. 당진시는 이러한 경제적 부담을 완화하고 실질적인 주거 안전망을 확대하기 위해 이번 사업을 지속 추진하고 있다.
