(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부평구가 19일, 초고령사회에 적극 대응하기 위해 올해 ‘노인일자리 사업’을 확대 추진하기로 했다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따르면, 구는 ‘2026년도 노인일자리 사업’에 부평구노인인력개발센터 등 5개 수행기관별 93개 사업을 진행하며, 전년 대비 606명 확대된 7천162의 어르신이 참여한다.
부평구는 지난 12일부터 참여 어르신을 대상으로 현장상황에 기반한 안전교육과 직무교육을 추진 중에 있으며 교육은 다음 달 11일까지 진행된다.
이와 관련, 부평구는 어르신 참여자 확대와 함께 신노년인 베이비부머세대의 역량을 활용할 수 있는 역량활용사업 및 민간형 일자리 발굴에 주력하고 있다.
구체적으로 지역사회의 실질적인 돌봄, 안전, 환경 등 수요에 대응할 수 있도록 시니어치안지킴이, 경로당스마트매니저, 우리동네업사이클링사업단 등 신규사업을 발굴했다.
특히, 지난해 말에는 ‘우리동네 ESG센터’를 개소해 공익활동, 역량활용, 공동체사업단이 모두 어우러져 활동하는 노인일자리 멀티사업장을 마련하는 등 탄소중립 실천으로 환경을 생각하는 지속가능한 노인일자리를 지속 추진해 나갈 계획이다.
부평구 관계자는 “초고령사회를 맞아 노후기 소득 보장과 사회활동 지원을 위한 노인일자리사업을 역점 추진할 것”이라며 “어르신들이 부평에서 건강하고 풍요로운 노후를 누릴 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
또한, 부평구가 19일 구청에서 ‘부평구 환경계획(2026~2040)’ 수립을 위한 주민공청회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.
부평구에 따르면, 환경계획은 ‘환경정책기본법’에 따라 수립하는 법정계획이다.
