[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 1월부터 ‘공용차량 예약 관리시스템’을 구축·운영하며 공용차량 관리의 효율성을 높이고 차량 구매 예산 절감에 나서고 있다.
시는 부서별로 개별 관리하던 차량 가운데 사용률이 낮은 차량을 인수해 통합관리 차량으로 전환하는 방식으로 공용차량 운영 체계를 개선해 왔다.
통합관리 차량은 지난해 2월 9대로 시작해 현재 승용차 11대, 승합차 4대, 화물차 3대 등 총 18대로 확대 운영되고 있다.
이로 인해 시는 차량 신규 구입을 대체하는 효과가 나타나 관리 전환에 따른 차량 구입비 약 1억6000만원의 예산 절감 성과를 거뒀다.
또 진주시는 통합관리 차량은 2025년 기준 1073건의 대여 실적을 기록하며, 향후 신규 차량 구매 수요를 상당 부분 대체할 것으로 기대되고 있다.
특히 시는 올해부터 도입된 공용차량 예약 관리시스템을 통해 전화 문의나 공문 절차 없이 시스템으로 신청·처리가 가능해져 직원 이용 편의성과 행정 효율성이 크게 향상됐다.
