수성구는 2025년에 조례 22건, 사업 17건, 홍보물 7건 등 모두 46건에 성별영향평가를 적용했다. 특히 정책을 세우는 단계에서 사전 컨설팅을 시행하고, 평가 이후에도 이행 상황을 꾸준히 확인하는 방식이 주목받았다. 주민 삶에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 한 체계적인 관리가 높은 평가로 이어졌다는 설명이다.
김대권 수성구청장은 “4년 연속 우수기관으로 선정된 것은 주민 모두가 성평등한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 꾸준히 노력해 온 결과”라며, “앞으로도 성인지 관점을 정책 전반에 적극 반영해 수성구만의 양성평등 정책을 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 이번 수상은 성별영향평가가 단순 제도가 아니라 현장에서 실질적으로 작동하고 있음을 보여주는 사례로 평가된다. 수성구는 향후에도 평가 결과를 바탕으로 개선점을 보완하고, 성평등 정책 성과를 다른 지자체와 공유해 나갈 계획이다.
