한수원–KINGS, 개방형 R&D 산학협력 간담회 개최

【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(이하 한수원)은 지난 19일 한국전력국제원자력대학원대학교(KINGS)와 ‘개방형 R&D 산학협력 간담회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 KINGS에서 열렸으며, 한수원과 KINGS는 각 기관의 연구개발(R&D) 추진 현황을 공유하고 개방형 R&D 활성화를 위한 협력 방안에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 진행했다. 특히 한수원은 대표적인 개방형 R&D 프로그램인 ‘K-CLOUD(사외공모과제)’를 소개하고, 효율적인 사업 운영을 위해 현장 연구자들의 의견을 청취하는 시간을 가졌다.

양 기관은 이번 논의를 통해 산학 협력 기반을 더욱 강화하고, 원자력 및 에너지 분야의 연구 혁신을 공동으로 추진해 나가기로 뜻을 모았다.

최광식 한수원 기술혁신처장은 “이번 간담회는 서로의 입장을 이해하고 연구 협력을 확대할 수 있는 의미 있는 시간이었다”며 “KINGS 방문을 시작으로 대학과 연구기관과의 릴레이 소통을 지속해 연구혁신을 선도해 나가겠다”고 말했다.

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) and KINGS Hold Open R&D Industry-Academic Cooperation Meeting

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) announced that it held an "Open R&D Industry-Academic Cooperation Meeting" with the Korea Electric Power Corporation International Nuclear Graduate School (KINGS) on the 19th.

The meeting, held at KINGS, saw KHNP and KINGS share the status of their respective research and development (R&D) initiatives and engage in in-depth discussions on collaborative measures to promote open R&D. KHNP specifically introduced its flagship open R&D program, "K-CLOUD (an externally-funded project)," and gathered input from researchers on how to efficiently operate the program.

Through this discussion, the two organizations agreed to further strengthen the foundation for industry-academic cooperation and jointly pursue research innovation in the nuclear energy and energy sectors.

Choi Gwang-sik, Director of the Technology Innovation Center at Hanwha Solutions, said, “This meeting was a meaningful opportunity to understand each other’s positions and expand research cooperation,” and added, “Starting with our visit to KINGS, we will continue to lead research innovation by relaying communication with universities and research institutes.”
