파주교육지원청은 2022 개정교육과정의 학교 현장 안착을 지원하고 지역 특성을 반영한 창의적인 사회과 교육과정 운영을 위해 초등 사회과 지역화 교재인 우리가 사는 파주를 개발했다.

이번 교재 개발은 파주의 지역 여건과 특색을 반영한 맞춤형 학습자료를 보급하여 학생 발달 수준에 적합한 학습활동을 지원하고 교사의 교수·학습 역량을 강화하기 위해 추진됐다.
우리가 사는 파주는 관내 초등 교사와 3학년 학생을 대상으로 하며 2022 개정교육과정 성취기준을 충실히 반영했으며 교재는 지역 이해 중심의 내용으로 구성되어 학생들이 우리 지역에 대한 이해를 자연스럽게 확장할 수 있도록 돕는다.
파주교육지원청은 자료 개발 준비 및 협의, PDF 자료 개발, 최종 편집본 검수, 교재 최종안 확정 및 제작 등 체계적인 단계를 거쳐 교재를 완성했으며 배포된 교재는 현장 적용과 검수를 통해 수업 활용도를 점검하고 지속적으로 개선해 나갈 예정이다.
이번 사업을 통해 파주교육지원청은 지역 특색에 맞는 사회과 교육과정 운영을 내실화할 것으로 보고 있다. 또한 교사용 교수·학습 참고자료 제공으로 교사의 수업 준비 부담을 줄이고 학생들의 우리 마을에 대한 이해와 관심을 높이는 데 기여할 것으로 전망된다.
