[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 통영시는 겨울철 한파로 인한 저수온 피해를 사전 예방하기 위해 선제적 대응에 나섰다.
시는 21일 어류 폐사가 우려되는 관내 어류 가두리 양식장에 대한 방문 등 현장 점검에 나섰다.
현재 시 관내 가두리 양식장 87건(221ha)에서 약 1억 2,000만 마리의 어류가 사육되고 있으며, 이 중 저수온에 취약한 돔류·쥐치류가 약 4,900만 마리로 전체 입식량의 약 41%를 차지하고 있어 각별한 관리가 요구되는 상황이다.
관내 수온은 현재 표층 기준 9.9℃~11.9℃로, 저수온 예비특보 기준인 7℃를 웃돌고 있으나, 기온 하강이 지속될 경우 저수온 특보 발효 가능성을 배제할 수 없는 실정이다.
통영시는 지난 11월부터 관내 가두리 양식장 현장 점검을 통해 가두리 시설물 안전 점검, 저수온 단계별 양식장 관리 요령, 어류 건강 상태 및 사육 밀도 등을 점검·지도했다.
특히 저수온 대비해 양식물을 월동장으로 대피 조치를 시행하며 피해 예방 활동에 총력을 기울이고 있다.
또한 저수온 피해 예방 및 최소화하기 위해 조기 대응체계를 구축하고, 어업피해 최소화 대책반(3개 팀, 18명)을 구성해 상황실 운영, 현장 지도반 편성 등 단계별 대응체계를 가동할 계획이다.
향후 수온이 지속적으로 하강할 경우 저수온 주의보 발표가 예상됨에 따라, 사전 면역증강제 공급, 수온 저하 시 사료 공급 중단, 그물 깊이 조절을 통한 안정 수온대 확보, 어류 스트레스 최소화 관리 등 현장 맞춤형 대응 조치를 철저히 이행해 줄 것을 어업인들에게 당부했다.
