[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 사천시가 국산 콩 산업을 선도하는 핵심 거점으로 주목받고 있다.
경남도 장영욱 농정국장, 홍영석 스마트농업과장 등 관계공무원 4명은 21일 사천시 곤명면에 위치한 콩사랑영농조합법인을 방문해 국산 콩 가공 산업화 지원사업 추진 현장을 점검하고, 콩 산업 전반에 대한 의견을 청취했다.
이날 현장에서는 콩 생산 기반과 안정적인 원료 수급 체계, 가공·유통 연계 전략 등 국산 콩 산업 전반에 대한 추진 현황과 향후 계획이 공유됐다.
사천시는 김성일 농업기술센터 소장을 비롯한 관계 공무원과 조영제 콩사랑영농조합법인 대표가 참석해 사업 추진 상황과 그 동안의 주요 성과를 설명했으며, 경남도는 현장 의견을 청취하고 도내 콩 산업 육성을 위한 지속적인 관심과 지원 의지를 밝혔다.
장영욱 농정국장은 “사천은 2027년까지 콩 생산부터 가공, 유통까지 체계적인 산업 기반이 완성될 지역”이라며, “국산 콩 산업의 중요한 거점으로서 경남도 차원에서도 필요한 지원과 역할을 적극적으로 수행해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
김성일 사천시농업기술센터 소장은 “경남도와의 협력을 바탕으로 사천이 국산 콩 산업을 선도하는 중심지로 자리매김할 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”고 말했다.
