<브레이크 뉴스 의정부=이용하 기자> 의정부시가 청년들의 참신한 아이디어로 도시의 미래를 설계할 ‘제4기 의정부시 청년협의체’의 공식 활동을 시작했다.
26일 의정부시에 따르면 지난 23일 시청 태조홀에서 ‘제4기 청년협의체 위촉식 및 오리엔테이션’이 성황리에 개최됐다. 이번 협의체는 공개 모집을 통해 선발된 대학생, 직장인, 예비 창업가 등 다양한 분야의 청년 41명으로 꾸려졌다.
제4기 위원들은 오는 2027년 12월까지 2년의 임기 동안 각 분과별로 활동하며, 의정부시 청년 정책의 모니터링과 신규 정책 발굴 등 시정 참여 활동의 중추적인 역할을 맡게 된다.

이날 행사는 위촉장 수여와 격려사가 담긴 1부 위촉식에 이어, 2부 오리엔테이션에서는 ‘청년자율예산제 운영 계획’과 ‘협의체 역량 강화 네트워킹’ 등 연간 로드맵을 공유하며 위원들의 적극적인 참여를 독려했다.
시 관계자는 “청년협의체는 정책의 수혜자를 넘어 도시를 함께 만드는 중요한 파트너”라며 “청년들의 제안이 실제 시정에 반영될 수 있도록 행정적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 제4기 청년협의체는 오는 3월 역량 강화 교육을 시작으로 4~5월 의제 발굴 활동을 거쳐 2027년도 청년자율예산 사업에 반영할 핵심 과제들을 도출해 나갈 예정이다.
