[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 함안군은 저소득층의 일자리 창출과 자립 기반 마련을 위한 통합지원 체계를 강화한다고 27일 밝혔다.
군은 올해 저소득층의 안정적인 자립과 자활 지원을 위한 자활사업 추진 계획을 수립, 함안지역자활센터와 함께 추진한다.
이에 올해 38억 원의 예산을 편성해 △지역자활센터 운영 및 사업단 관리 △읍면 자체 자활사업 및 위탁형 자활근로사업 추진 △일하는 저소득 가구를 위한 자산형성지원사업 △자활사업비 및 생활안정융자금 지원 등 다양한 자활지원사업을 추진할 계획이다.
함안지역자활센터는 2001년부터 저소득층 자활사업을 추진해 왔으며, 현재 참여 주민 153명과 실무자 10명의 인원이 함께 14개 자활근로사업단과 4개 자활기업을 운영하고 있다.
지난해에는 자활사업으로 10억 300만 원의 매출을 달성하는 등 참여 주민의 근로 의지와 만족도를 높이는 데 기여하고 있다.
특히 지역 특산물을 활용한 ‘아라홍련 꽃빵’과 품질 좋은 쌀로 만든 ‘아라참 간식사업단’의 누룽지가 꾸준히 인기를 얻고 있으며, 베트남 현지 맛을 살린 ‘골목식당’은 지역 대표 맛집으로 자리잡고 있다.
또한 ‘다흰비누’와 ‘스마트에코(아라씽씽)’ 사업단은 탄소중립 실천에 기여하고 있으며, ‘클린업’ 사업단과 ‘푸르미 청소’ 사업단은 관내 460여 개 버스 승강장과 9개 학교의 위생 관리를 맡아 지역사회 필수 서비스 제공 역할을 하고 있다.

함안지역자활센터는 2026년 참여 가능한 자활사업 경로를 다각화하고 참여자 사례관리를 강화해 단순 근로 기회 제공을 넘어 삶의 질을 실질적으로 높이는 자립형 복지 실현에 나설 계획이다.
또한 아라홍련 등 지역 고유 콘텐츠를 결합한 상품군을 확대해 지역 특화 브랜드 사업을 고도화하고, ‘맞춤형 하우스클린’ 사업 범위를 넓혀 복지 사각지대 해소에도 힘쓸 방침이다.
함안군 복지정책과 관계자는 “자활사업으로 근로 취약 계층에게 ‘다시 일어설 수 있는 토양’을 만들어 주는 것이 목표다”며 “앞으로도 지역 특성에 맞는 자원 연계와 체계적인 교육으로 참여 주민들이 지역사회에서 자립할 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠다”고 말했다.
