군은 이날 장뜰시장을 방문해 화재·전기·가스 등 주요 안전 취약 요소를 점검하고, 연휴 기간 이용객 증가에 대비한 현장 안전 관리 실태를 확인했다.
이날 점검에는 김두환 부군수도 직접 참여해 시설 운영 상태와 비상 대응 체계를 점검했다.
이번 점검은 군 관계 부서와 민간 전문가가 함께 참여하는 합동 점검 방식으로 진행됐다.
군은 시장 내 시설 전반을 대상으로 안전 관리 실태를 점검하고, 사고 예방을 위한 위험 요인을 사전에 점검하는 데 중점을 뒀다.
점검 결과 경미한 사항은 현장에서 즉시 시정 조치했으며, 단기간 내 개선이 어려운 사항에 대해서는 설 연휴 이전까지 보완이 이뤄질 수 있도록 지속적으로 관리·지도할 방침이다.
앞서 군은 지난 26일 시외버스터미널과 증평역 등 여객시설을 대상으로도 안전 점검을 실시한 바 있다.
군 관계자는 “설 명절을 맞아 군민과 귀성객이 많이 찾는 전통시장을 중심으로 안전 점검을 강화했다”며 “연휴 기간에도 안전 관리에 만전을 기하겠다”고 말했다.
